I had wanted to go horse riding for a while but I was scared of being thrown off the horse! I had visions of being jerked backwards and forwards, left and right, then violently thrown in to the air while I helplessly flew for a short moment before crashing to the ground in a heap. Painful!

So it was with a great deal of caution that I decided to take my first riding lesson. I must say that my initial fear immediately vanished when I walked through to the reception and was met with the calmness of the riding centre. They were so relaxed and friendly that I felt at ease and my worries soon turned to excitement.

I was taken to the stable and met my horse. She too, looked relaxed and friendly and I could hardly wait to ride her! So fitted with my riding gear, I saddled up, and got on the horse. With the instructor confidently holding on to the reigns and walking the horse slowly around the beautiful scenery I started to feel a huge sense of freedom.

I felt a really strange feeling of nature and wonder at the same type. I started to bond with the horse and felt that she was happy to take me around while I felt the giddiness of a child with a new present.

The whole experience was wonderful and completely allayed all my fears. I would absolutely recommend it to anybody. Horse riding Yarra Valley was an absolutely amazing experience and I am now hooked. I am so glad that I started horse riding lessons Melbourne, and if you are interested I am sure you will love it just as much as I do.
